They will refund you your money and, no they will not put them on clearance racks or reduce the price. If something is worng with the clothing such as, a tear, stain.. etc. You will get your money refunded.
They generally are returned to the rack, unless they have been damaged. There’s no harm in it. It’s no different than an item that’s tried on 100 times being put back on the rack. Just wash new clothes before wearing them.
They will put it back on the rack if it’s in good condition. If it is damaged or if it is an older item they are no longer selling it will go to “salvage” where they basically write it off and send it back to the warehouse. Some of it may eventually make it to the outlet stores.
They put the clothes back on the rack at regular price. Unless there is something wrong with it, they will damage it out and send it back to the manufacturor and get credit for it.
