How do you dress a bed like the department stores do?

Some of the beds are only make believe to sell the merchandise,,They put a whole outfit of bedding on the display form……

Check out Ross, Sears, any large department store. You can walk thru and a clerk will help you.

The first start is a good mattress set. Undress the department store bed at the corner of the bed then you will see. Usually it have a label on the mattress to tell you who makes it.

Also they yes bed padding. The best kind is egyptian cottom on that is so nice. For your sheet set you need to buy 300 thread or better. Pillows don’t buy those gereric kind the get the downsize pillows for a queen, king, or twin. Which one you own. Also purchase a good comforter. Not from Walmart. JCpenny’s have good ones. Try department stores. Yes they are a little expensive but last a very long time.

Be willing to spend an arm and a leg on all of their bed linens.

the good mattress is very important. bed , bath and beyond sells matress pads that are terrific. good pillows for the ones you use and you can use cheap ones for the pillow shams. buy as high a thread count as you can get a good buy on. usually follow the mattress bad are your sheets, blanket and comforter/bedspread. extra flat sheet can be used on top of the blanket, under comforter bedspread. the comforter / bedspread is normally removed at night not used… unless it’s down then the temptation is just to great. if you invest in a great down comforter , then i’d be sure to get a duvet cover for it to protect it. you are making me want to go to sleep just typing about this
